The Crit List - Teaching

I get a lot of emails and social media posts asking me about teaching our kids about games.  For those who may not know, Mrs. Tox and I have a 20 year old daughter, an 8 year old son and a 6 year old son, and all of them play games on some type of level.  It's something I'm really blessed with, but looking back on it, it wasn't just dumb luck they liked gaming.

I took a long look at some of the things we did with our kids, introducing them to board gaming, and especially NinjaZach as he's our most active gamer.  As such, we have another Crit List for you containing the top 3 things to know when teaching your kids or younger gamers about designer board games.

Do you have kids or younger gamers in your group?  By no means is this the "exhaustive list" of good things to do or try, so what have you done when this situation presents itself?  Let us know below with a comment, or engage on any of our social channels about your experiences in this realms!  Kids are filled with imagination and board games are, in my opinion, a great way to help foster that creative thinking.  Until next time, game on!

Great video! Thanks for posting. I still have a few years before I do this, but it's good to have a foundation to build on.
