Firefly: Shiny Dice is not your "run of the mill" press your luck dice game. When I was designing this game, it came from a simple comment my son, NinjaZacj said while playing another press your luck dice game... "We should make this harder."
So we did.
The goal with FSD, even before it was what it is today, was to make a dice game that was both challenging and forced you to make decisions that were tough, on turn 1. We didn't want it to be a game where you just rolled and instinctively "knew" what to do as there was one best thing to do each turn.
Side Meier, one of the men who shaped my gaming mind while growing up, once said, "A good game is a series of interesting choices." That was an underlying theme when making FSD... so today, we decided to show you how it works by running through a full solo game of three turns.
Fire up the thrusters, it's time to get Shiny!

Those were the last words spoken on the Firefly TV show from Fox, and they are very fitting given my personal experiences right now. As most of you may know, Firefly Shiny Dice is on store shelves now, from Upper Deck Entertainment. I designed this game with the help of my son Zach, who came up with the original concept and idea of the game.
It's been a rollercoaster time putting it together, seeing it come to fruition in UDE's hands, and now, see people actually playing what we worked so hard on. This is not your "daddy's" dice game though so I wanted to take some time and share some footage of what to expect when you jump into the cargo hold of Serenity and see what's our there in the 'verse...
In addition, I'd like to thank everyone how has sent me notes and messages supporting me, Zach, and the game. We totally know this game isn't for everyone, but those it is for, we hope you are enjoying it as much as it sounds as you are. From us to you, thank you very much!
